Fall Festival 2016

Merci: Halloween might be over but it sticks in pix.

Taylor: It what?

Cyndi: Merci means it lingers in photos.

Taylor: You mean there really are ghosts and goblins that hang around after the celebration?

Merci: No, silly, I mean we have pictures. Some of the local churches held a Fall Festival at the Greatest Generation Park on Halloween.

Cyndi: It' a safe way for children and parents to have trick or treat fun safely.

Taylor:  Oh, that's where Jan walked to on Monday.

Merci:  Yes.  it was packed!  She barely made it home on wobbly legs.

Taylor:  Can we share them?  The pictures, I mean.

Cyndi:  Yep, that's what this post is for.

Tim and the Halloween headless A.C.T.S. Outreach of GA team were passing out candy.

This is the Sin Crusher.  Interesting name.

The Sheriff and Deputies.

Playground for the kids.

Cotton candy.

Cooking the hot dogs.

There were toss games for children.

And an inflatable slide.

Even the GA State Patrol was passing out candy.

This nice young man didn't laugh when Jan asked if R.U.S.H. is a musical group.  His friends hid behind Jan but he posed and approved the picture.

Jan should have walked around the van before assuming this was the musical entertainment.

Balloons, balloons, balloons.

Praise dancers.

The water fountain.  No, not the drinking fountain .

Just a small part of the crowd.

Now this is the band.

Merci:  And so ends your first Halloween, Taylor.  Are you already looking forward to next year?

Taylor:  No, not really.  It seems to be a time for humans to dress weird and to receive lots of candy.  We didn't get any candy.

Cyndi:  Be glad you're a cat.  I think it must be exhausting to walk around dressed in a costume carrying a bag of candy that gets heavier and heavier.

Taylor:  You have a good point.  If humans want to give out real treats, they should be handing out bugs and mice.

Merci:  Oh, yes, I can see that now. Bags would be flying and humans would be screaming.

Cyndi:  And we furries would be so thankful for the tasty snacks.

We are joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop at Brian's Home.  Brian has graciously taken it over from Pepi Smart Dog.  We appreciate that Pepi hosted it for so long.

  1. What a fun thing to do! Some churches here do trunk or treat times too. But no festivlas like that! We do have one church that puts on an 'all saints festival' a bit earlier in October.

Hmmm, we don't think petcretary would want any more bugs than the ones she finds outside, thank you furry much...MOL!

  10. Taylor seems to be the pragmatic kitty of all of you wonderfully nutty animals. Bugs and mice, here we come next year. Maybe if you find some for Jan to pass out to the kids....
